| Roger and Brian
were off to Moscow on Tuesday for the final auditions of the WWRY
cast. According to Brian's soapbox they seemed to be successful in
doing so. Brian promised more details and more pictures soon. As for
a start I sneaked this
one from his website (source). |

As vaguely promised
yesterday the first pictures of Roger from his Saturday night's job
as a "delivery boy" are online.
Thank you very much for donating them, Nick! (to visit Nick's website
And even more pictures: This time from Pam (Thank you!). They are
from the Happiness tour 1994 in Liverpool. She thought they needed
a revival and indeed they do! Click here
to go to "Close Encounters" (to visit Pam's website click
here.).
And another feature for the website has been installed: If you move
your mouse over "Mixed fruitcake" you see a menu "Search
this site!" which will let you do exactly that! |

Back from a fantastic
weekend in London where a friend and me saw the last performance of
the London WWRY cast members Kerry, Sharon, Nigel and Cameron. During
Bohemian Rhapsody Brian came on stage and played the solo and after
that re-joined the cast for an encore of We Are The Champions. He
made a short speech saying that Ben Elton was unfortunately in Australia
BUT had the other musical director there which was of course Roger.
His part that evening was to present the leaving cast members with
gifts (which he did in a killingly funny way). Pictures of Roger from
that day will hopefully follow soon...

Same time in Germany Thomas
Gottschalk's live show "50 Jahre Rock" took place in Hanover.
Roger and Brian sent pre-recorded video messages. Thanks to Allesandro
who sent me the link here is Roger's message (to view Roger's message
only click on the picture, for the full video - including Brian's
message - please click here).

In this show it
was also announced that the musical premiere in Cologne will take
place on December 12, 2004. You can buy tickets via the new German
website
of the Musical. The first date for which you can book tickets is December
14, 2004 (Unfortunately there is no possibility to book premiere tickets!).
If you are a member of the Official
International Queen Fan Club you have the chance to pester Chris
"Crystal" Taylor while attending the forthcoming convention.
He looked after Roger for 13 years and according to Jacky "His
stories of touring with the band have to be heard to be believed."
The wonderful Treana Morris, singer with the band The
Wire Daisies, will be touring the UK. Treana was famously discovered
by Roger singing locally in Cornwall and subsequently toured with
him in the UK. She was also joining Roger and Brian on stage during
the 46664-concert. Visit their site for the tour dates. |

a Happy Easter weekend. Still no news but working on new screencaps....
In the meantime I installed a nice little script that allows you to
comment on this very page after each news entry. ;-) |

to check out the latest 46664 Viral Clip. It features Anastacia ripping
through 'Amandla' with Queen, Bono and Beyonce and also Ms Dynamite
performing solo. The DVD and CDS are out now. Please send on to a
friend and Give One Minute Of Your Life To AIDS.
As promised I added the first DVD screencaps to the website. They
are taken from the Cyberbarn video. For those who wonder about the
order of the caps: It's a typical DoRo-production which means that
no scene is longer than 30 seconds, no song is played in full, etc.
In short: It's all a bit annoying (and this is a pretty polite expression).
I wished it would be released properly one day. Enough rambling, click
here to see the pics.
There is also a new interview online.
More are coming as I find the time to type them in...
AND last but not least a new audio download
is avalaible. It's the song "One-night stand" that was availabe
during the Cyberbarn release. This one is in very good quality!
Hope you enjoy this update! |

Monday, 5 April, also saw the
release of the SAS Band DVD "The Concert". Roger is on that
(as far as I know performing "Radio GaGa"). I haven't seen
it yet. It's said to have also extensive backstage material as well.
To read Spike's message and have a look at the cover as well click

Some website news: I have added new www-pictures
in the following galleries: 70's (16 pics), 80's (76 pics!), 90's

to make it easier to navigate. Enjoy! |

Roger and Brian
are still in Las Vegas and have now finally agreed on the band.
They are Keith Thompson - MD/Keys 1, Phillip Fortenberry - Asst
MD/Keys 2, D. Gause-Snelson - Keys 3, Paul Crook - Guitar 1, David
Hornbeck - Guitar 2, Oliver Hover - Bass, Percussion - Jim Belk
and on Drums - John Micelli. According to Brian Roger was impressed
by the tightness of his playing (source).
Talking of drums I stumbled over the Sleishman website that is advertising
with Roger at the moment. Apparently Roger is now a converted Sleishman
fan. He personally selected the drum kit that will be used in the
Australian premiere season. To see what the kit of his choice is
Today saw the release of 46664:The
Concert DVD and CD's in Europe (April 13 in the USA). During the
special launch event on April 1 in Johannesburg Mr Mandela appointed
all of the artists that performed at the 46664 concert in Cape Town
last year and the visual artists involved in the campaign as 46664-ambassadors.
They will help him in his fight to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS
in Africa and to help those infected and affected by the pandemic
in South Africa. During this launch were many of the South African
artists that performed at this special event. Together they presented
Mr Mandela with a gold disc to celebrate the fact that the live
recordings of the 46664 concert have already shipped gold in South
Africa. (source)
If you haven't already listened to Roger's message on the 46664-website
you can also do it here. |
