Stars unite for Mandela
gig book
Today at a press conference in London former South African President
Nelson Mandela launched the book of photographs from the 46664 concert
which took place in Cape Town South Africa in 2003. Roger joined him
together with Brian, Annie Lennox, Cat Stevens and Peter Gabriel.

Charity gig at the Clapham Grand, 6th December
You can now obtain your tickets for this event directly from Jill
at the SAS Band office for £ 50 instead of the original £
100 - but without food and champagne. The SAS Band will hit the stage
at 11.00 pm. Appearing with the SAS Band will be Miss Madeline Bell,
Fish, Graham Gouldman, Jeff Scott Soto, Chris Thompson, Midge Ure,

On this day in 1991 Freddie died of AIDS related complications at
the age 45.

Auctions
at Bonham's
Queen's bass drumskin (used for the band's 'Live Aid' appearance,
and also in the video for 'Hammer To Fall' and signed by Roger) was
sold for for £ 9,560
(Estimate: £ 3,000 to £ 3,500). Freddie's canary-yellow
leather jacket and white trousers form the 1986 Magic Tour, was up
for auction with an estimated sale price of between £ 8,000
and £ 12,000 and sold for £ 22,000! |

public have been voting for the international music artists they want
to see honoured in the first ever UK Music Hall of Fame. Tonight,
you can watch Queen's induction on Channel 4, 9 pm. The actual induction
took place at the Hackney Empire on November 11th, 2004 in London.
So get your VCR's ready!
And talking about TV recordings.... The 60-minute BBC Documentary
"The Story of Bohemian Rhapsody" will be transmissioned
on BBC on Saturday, December 4th at 9 pm. |

| Cologne Press
Conference
Last weekend was all about the Cologne press kick off for "We
will rock you". The press conference got a huge coverage in
the local press as well as on German TV stations. My friend Queenie
was so nice to encode two TV snippets into wmv-files. You can watch
