Roger and Brian at Foo Fighters
gig
The Foo Fighters are currently on tour in the UK. Brian May attended
their Saturday night Earls Court show in London with his daughters
and friends. Brian didn't get up and jam as he wanted to take in the
show. Roger Taylor was attending on Sunday night, also at Earls Court,
though it is not yet known if he got up and played as in New Jersey
in October. (source)

Elvis still reigns
Elvis Presley is still The King of the UK charts - the iconic singer
has spent more weeks in the British music charts than any other band
or artist, according to new book British Hit Singles and Albums. The
Suspicious Minds hitmaker has spent a total of 2,574 weeks in the
British music charts, ahead of closest rival Sir Cliff Richard who
has only notched up 1,982 weeks. Legendary British bands Queen
and The Beatles took third and fourth place respectively,
ahead of Madonna, who is the highest ranking woman, with 1,660 weeks
putting her at number five. Sir Elton John, The Shadows, Michael Jackson,
David Bowie and Irish rockers U2 complete the top 10. |

New gallery online
With a big thank you to Ale another gallery is online.
Did anybody know Roger played with Gary Brooker's 'Band du Lac' at
Wintershall on June 11th, 2005? The reason was a charity rock concert
set up this year for the benefit of HASTE (Heart and Stroke Trust
Endeavour) and in particular the HASTE wing at the Royal Surrey County
Hospital. Roger performed "I Want to Break Free" as well
as a "Say It's Not True". Click here
for a review. |
