Talking about Paris...
This was the first gig I attended and I must say it was a great one!
Also thanks to everybody I met there and for making this a really
really great trip! I have updated the concert
gallery (with lots of thanks to Sandra and Trina for your pictures).
I have also added new pictures to the "Close encounters"
gallery. Andres was so nice to
send me his pictures of Roger visiting the Old Town in Riga. If you
are interested in photography please have a look at his daughters
weblog.
She has some amazing photos up there. Many thanks, Andres! |

Q+PR on Russian
TV
Here's a short youtube
clip with excerpts of the first night in Moscow and the band being
interviewed. Enjoy!
Moscow gigs
Moscow 1st night: Basically the same as kharkov only a minor change
in the running order (bad company was first of pauls solo songs
not last...) And slight changes on the visuals (no images of freddie
on bijou, no eye on last horizon, diff visuals for shooting star)
last horizon had the mirror ball again
Moscow 2nd night: Warboys makes
its live-premiere and replaces Shooting Star. C-lebrity is played
very early in the set, whilst A Kind Of Magic moves back till after
Guitar-Solo-Parts. The Show Must Go On was played as 2nd encore.
During Cosmos rockin they sang "we got moscow rockin'"
The eye and the Freddie-images are back during Bijou/Last Horizon-visuals
With thanks to Thomas!

Roger Taylor
Thanks Ukraine
(from QOL)
“We would like to say a big thank you to the people of the Ukraine
in giving Queen such a wonderful welcome after so many years. We hope
the concert helped to bring a message of awareness of the terrible
threat of HIV/AIDS to all the people!”
“We have suffered the
great loss of our dear singer Freddie Mercury – we hope this
kind of loss does not happen to you.”
“Be kind to yourselves
– be careful – be alive!”

Queen Guitar
Rhapsodies'
I have been emailed by David Young, who is one of the guitarists in
"We Will Rock You" in London's West End. He has just produced
an album by Carlos Bonell who is a world renowned classical guitarist
and who is currently working with Paul McCartney on his guitar concerto.
The album also carries an endorsement from Brian May for the track
"Love of My Life" which he described as "absolutely
exquisite".
'Queen Guitar Rhapsodies' features 17 Queen songs recorded by world
renowned concert classical guitarist Carlos Bonell along with the
Lara Symphony Orchestra from Venezuela. This highly original and varied
album covers all dynamic ranges encompassed by Queen music from solo
guitar arrangements of 'Love of My Life' and 'Who Wants to Live Forever'
to the full power of guitar and Orchestra on 'Bohemian Rhapsody',
'You Take My Breath Away', 'Jealousy' and 'Play the Game'. The Youth
Choir of the Lara Symphony Orchestra is also featured on 'Barcelona'
and 'Teo Torriate' making this album an essential addition to any
Queen fan's collection.

Q+PR Rehearsal
Show
(from QOL)
Yesterday afternoon Queen + Paul Rodgers entertained various media
personnel at their rehearsal space just outside North London. Also
present was our Album Club Winner Matthew Wilson and his guest Marie.
The band performed a short set for the collective as part of their
full production rehearsal schedule prior to the kicking off the new
tour next week in Kharkov. Matthew was kind enough to share his experience
with us. “They started quietly huddled
in a group at the centre of the stage playing together – this
included snippets of ‘Hammer To Fall’ and ‘I Want
It All’. Brian then said
‘hello’ to everyone and said they would “take a
trip down memory lane”.
The set was:
Another One Bites The Dust
Hammer To Fall
I Want It All
I Want To Break Free
A Kind Of Magic
Shooting Star
Cosmos Rockin’
